About the exhibition
The visit starts on the first floor with paintings and a sculpture by Kim Tschangyeul, the painter known for water drops. The Korea Economic Daily says the sculpture, titled 비나이다, turns the painted drop into a three-dimensional object and is being shown for the first time. Segye Ilbo says the foundation's 30-year archive also opens the show.
On the second floor, The Korea Economic Daily reports prints by Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró and work by Roy Lichtenstein. The same paper describes abstract works of repeated dots and lines by Lee Ufan and Park Seo-Bo on the third floor, and Segye Ilbo adds Ha Chong-Hyun there. The paper gives the fourth floor to artists who tried new media, including Nam June Paik. Marie Claire Korea also names Tanaami Keiichi, Doug DuBois and Paolo Raeli.
The Korea Economic Daily calls this the first collection show by the Daelim Cultural Foundation, held for its 30th anniversary, and puts the total at about 70 works by Korean and international artists.
