About the artist

Ryan Gander (b. 1976, Chester, UK) lives and works in London and Suffolk. Esther Schipper says the work can be writing, graphic design, film, performance, installation or sculpture. Lisson Gallery describes thinking that links the everyday with the esoteric and asks questions about language and knowledge. Time Out described a 2023 show at Lisson in London with an animatronic gorilla cowering under a desk. In Seoul, The Rates of Change opened at Space K in 2021 with 28 works, according to Kolon. For The Find Seoul in 2026, My Modern Met reports that 16,000 collectible coins were hidden around the city, and Vogue Korea ties the project to Frieze Seoul week.
