About the exhibition

The third chapter of Futura Seoul's Poem series and, according to the e-flux announcement, Es Devlin's first solo exhibition in Korea. Futura presents it as one route through the building rather than a retrospective of separate works, at its hanok-inspired art space in Gahoe-dong, Bukchon.

The route begins with Infinite Library, a film that starts among about 10,000 books, and leads into Mirror Maze, where you walk through the projection into a space of mirrors. Come Home Again is a 5 by 3 meter work in painted plywood, sound and light. Screenshare is a screen formed of hundreds of sketchbooks, and you may take one sketch away.

At Collective Portrait you draw a stranger at a shared table. Collective Reading is a room of books that shaped the artist's view of the world, and it opens onto a garden. Futura says natural light enters the museum for the first time in this series. Expect dark rooms, strong light, mirrors, water and stairs, and note that Futura recommends 60 to 80 minutes.
